Well we held the AGM on Thursday evening and as there were no proposals for any rule or committee member changes, it was a case of the reports being read from the officers of the club and in a nut shell all is well with the club and it is continuing to grow. Read more...

Members of the Alcove Angling Club are saddened at the passing of Bill Smith on the 3rd November. He was a founder member of the club and will be sadly missed.

His funeral will be at Canford Crematorium on Wednesday the 18th at 9am and all members wishing to attend are welcome.

This is an official confirmation that the work on the Lido has started. This is every members chance to come along and help your club in one of it`s major projects. It will be going on everyday for at least 2 weeks so any time you can spare will be good. The water is being slowly lowered and we will be needing to do work on the banks to maintain them.

There will be a tent where we can shelter from the rain and there will be a cooker for making tea and coffee but please bring a flask of hot water and a cup as we will not be washing up. Milk and sugar will be provided. If you have a chair then best bring that as well

Its here. The all new website has finally arrived. The new site has new features such as: Venue reports, Chat, Bait And Venue Tactics, Tackle Shop and an advice section. The alcove webmaster (Jordan) decided to redesign the site after finding it hard to maintain, but now the new site is even better and will be much easier to navigate and maintain.

Here is your chance to win some alcove goodies. This month we are giving away an Alcove baseball cap, and all you have to do is send in a great photo of anything Alcove related, it does not have to be a fish, maybe a venue picture or some wildlife you see while you are fishing. Go on get your creative heads on.

Winners will be chosen on the first thursday of each month and will be posted on the website. Only images that were uploaded from the start of the month can be entered into the competition, existing gallery images will not be counted.
