It`s time to update you on what is happening in your club.
Well we held the AGM on Thursday evening and as there were no proposals for any rule or committee member changes, it was a case of the reports being read from the officers of the club and in a nut shell all is well with the club and it is continuing to grow.
There are still just the few members doing all the work and trying to make sure the club continues to improve, and if you don`t think we are doing things right then I can only say, come and help and then you can also have your say.
The fish stocks are good and we are still adding to them including Tench, Cruisan Carp and Roach. Just in case any member is not sure how much fish cost these days, well I can tell you that the 250 Roach we have put in cost us over £800.
Margaret`s lake at Whitehouse is going to have new platforms, the behind the scenes work is already being done and it is hoped that they will be finished by April (weather permitting).
As you may know we are having our presentation evening on the 13th March. It is being held at the British Royal Legion at Staple Hill and starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 each and that includes a Buffet. You can bring all the family but be quick getting the tickets as there are only 180 tickets in total and there are over 500 members and I have already sold over 70. Phone me to reserve your tickets.
Last year it was a really good evening even with the very heavy snow making it impossible for some members to get there.
I would like to remind you that we are organising a week`s fishing at Stafford Moor next year on the 2nd of April 2011. We are hoping to take all the lodges which will mean 35 fishermen in total. Price each will be £180 and that includes your 7 days fishing.
It will be a great week. There are only 18 places left so if you think you might like to come and join us then please phone me.
Your membership will expire on the 30th April but as you know if you renew during April you will get a discount. You will need to bring a photo (the one in this years tab will be fine).
You can come round almost anytime but NOT on Wednesdays, it`s my day off from club work. Anytime from 9am until 7pm if you can please. I would like to remind you to come around to the back door.
